  • Pad Content: The text and content you paste or type into pads. This is stored to enable sharing functionality.
  • Pad Title: Optional titles you provide for your pads.
  • Custom URLs: Custom slug URLs you choose for your pads.

Automatically Collected Data

  • View Count: We track how many times a pad has been viewed, but we do not track who viewed it.
  • Creation Timestamp: When a pad was created.

What We DON'T Collect

  • Personal identifiable information (names, emails, phone numbers)
  • User accounts or login credentials
  • IP addresses linking to specific pads
  • Tracking cookies or advertising identifiers
  • Browsing history or behavior patterns

How We Use Your Information

The content you create is used solely for:

  • Storing and displaying your pads to anyone with the link
  • Enabling the core functionality of the service
  • Automatically deleting expired pads

Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored securely using industry-standard practices:

  • Data is stored in Supabase (PostgreSQL) with encryption at rest
  • All connections use HTTPS/TLS encryption
  • Row Level Security ensures proper access controls

Data Retention

We retain pad content based on your chosen expiry settings:

  • Pads with expiry: Automatically deleted after the expiry date you selected.
  • Pads without expiry: Retained indefinitely until you request deletion.

We run automated cleanup processes to remove expired content from our databases permanently.

Third-Party Services

PasteGen uses the following third-party services:

  • Cloudflare: For hosting and content delivery. Cloudflare may collect basic analytics data. See their privacy policy.
  • Supabase: For database hosting. See their privacy policy.

Public Content

Important: Any content you create on PasteGen is publicly accessible to anyone with the pad URL. Do not share sensitive, personal, or confidential information through PasteGen.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access: View your pad content at any time using the pad URL.
  • Deletion: Contact us to request deletion of specific pads you've created.

Children's Privacy

PasteGen is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
